Introduction
viora puts an assistant on your website that answers visitors from your own information, in English and Swahili.
How it works
- You describe your business in a short profile: what you do, services and prices, hours, contacts and common questions. You can also point viora at your website.
- viora builds a knowledge base. It splits your information into small passages and stores them with embeddings (number fingerprints of meaning), so it can find the right passage for any question, even when the visitor uses different words or another language.
- A visitor asks a question. viora finds the most relevant passages, then an AI model writes a short answer using only those passages and your contact facts.
- When it can't answer, it says so, offers WhatsApp, and records the question so you can add the answer to your profile.
Two ways to run it
| You are… | Start here |
|---|---|
| A business owner, school or NGO | viora cloud: sign up, fill in a form, paste one line. |
| A developer or agency | Self-host with Python: pip install viora-ai and run it on your own server. |
Both use the same widget and the same HTTP API, so you can move between them without changing your website.
What viora won't do
- Invent prices, dates, policies or promises that aren't in your information.
- Give medical, legal or financial advice of its own.
- Track your visitors. It counts questions per visitor using a one-way code, never storing IP addresses.
